New Technical Assistance Center Available to Aid in Treatment of Co-Occurring Substance Abuse and Mental Health Disorders
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) announced a new technical assistance center and help line designed to support state efforts to provide effective treatment services for persons with co-occurring substance abuse and mental disorders.
The Co-Occurring Center for Excellence will help indentify best practices in treating co-occurring substance abuse and mental disorders and will support the application of these practices through technical assistance and cross-training, state of the art materials, and a website.
