REMINDER: FREE SAMHSA TRAINING SERIES ON MENTAL HEALTH SELF-DIRECTION WEB-CASTS

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) is having a training series on models of self-direction. Currently, various models of self- direction are being used by people with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, and older adults to maximize consumer choice and control of services and supports. These sessions are intended for mental health consumers, State and local mental health and Medicaid planner and program officials, providers, family members, managed care organizations, advocates, and others. They are designed to provide information on self-direction and its relationship to mental health and to explore ways to foster self-direction opportunities for persons with mental illnesses.
