The Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is currently seeking candidates for the position of a Branch Chief in the Division of Prevention, Traumatic Stress and Special Programs. The purpose of this letter is to request your assistance in identifying potential candidates for the Chief of the Prevention Prevention Initiatives and Priority Programs Development Branch (PIPPDB).
The Branch Chief of PIPPDB is responsible for overseeing the CMHS School Violence Prevention Initiative, and a range of initiatives on both the national and international level related to the prevention of mental and behavioral disorders and the promotion of mental health; conducting program development activities and promoting effective programs and policies for special populations, including persons living in rural and/or border areas, children and youth in the juvenile justice system, women and members of racial and ethnic minority groups; and overseeing a number of projects related to international mental health concerns.
