UPenn Collaborative on Community Integration Announces Call for Papers
"CALL FOR PAPERS" -- The Federally-funded UPenn Collaborative on Community Integration seeks presentation proposals for its first "National State of the Knowledge Conference: Increasing Community Integration of Individuals with Psychiatric Disabilities." This conference will be held on September 19-20, 2006 in Philadelphia at the Holiday Inn Historic District. Presentation and poster proposals are due by June 1, 2006. This two-day conference will specifically focus on policies and interventions relevant to promoting recovery and community integration and the goals of the New Freedom Initiative and President's Mental Health Commission Final Report. Topics of interest include research and other experiences that heighten understanding the best approaches to supporting people with disabilities, especially psychiatric disabilities, as they find their way back into their communities.
