Lessons Learned: Embedding EBPS in Statewide Transformatino August 28-30, 2006 The Ritz Carlton at Pentagon City Arlington, Virginia

Sponsored by SAMHSA's Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS), the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), and the NASMHPD Research Institute's Center for Mental Health Quality and Accountability (CMHQA).
This conference will offer learning collaboratives to enhance states in "embedding" evidence-based practices (EBPs) in Transformation.
Specific topics consist of lessons learned from States regarding the implementation of EBPs, including:

- Data / Information technology as it relates to EBPs
- Fidelity and outcome assessments related to EBP implementation
- Implementation of EBPs in rural areas
- Funding and reimbursement strategies
- Workforce development
- Developed/implemented legislative requirements related to EBPs
- Leadership, policy, and legislative changes needed to support EBPs
- Change management techniques
- Integrating EBPs with quality improvement
- Cultural competence and adaptation of EBPs
- Consumer involvement in implementation

Target Audience is States and communities involved with implementing change based on evidence-based practices and other quality tools. Materials related to registration and attendance will follow shortly. Due to limited space, priority will be given to ensure diverse representation from various organizations and geographic location.
