Centers for Medicine and Medicaid Services (CMS) Reducing the use of Seclusion and Restraints in Psychiatric Facilities Satellite Broadcast and Webcast Friday, September 23, 2005 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM EDT

On September 23, the Center for Medicaid and State Operations/Division of Continuous Care Providers will sponsor a live webcast and satellite broadcast entitled "Reducing the Use of Seclusion and Restraints in the Psychiatric Facilities." This broadcast is designed to provide a brief overview of the history of this initiative, emerging findings on effectiveness, a review of the core theories and literature that added support to the development of the six core strategies and recommendations for administrative and practice change.
