Third National Conference Addressing Homelessness for People with Mental Illnesses and/or Substance Use Disorders "Preparing People for Change: Knowledge and Choice"
October 26 - 28, 2005

The Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) and its sponsoring partners want to remind you to register for the upcoming Third National Conference Addressing Homelessness for People with Mental Illnesses and/or Substance Use Disorders. The conference will be held October 26-28, 2005, at the Hilton Washington in Washington, DC. The conference will feature 90-minute, half-day, and full-day workshops, round table discussions, a site tour of local programs, and an awards ceremony for exemplary programs. Conference sessions will focus on three areas: housing, services, and cross-cutting issues. SAMHSA Administrator Charles G. Curie, M.A., A.C.S.W., and CMHS Director A. Kathryn Power, M.Ed., will address plenary sessions.

To make hotel reservations, contact the Reservations Department of the Hilton Washington at 1-888-DCHILTON. When contacting the hotel, you must specify that you are attending the National Training Conference on Homelessness in order to receive the preferred attendee rate ($153 a night, plus tax). The group name for conference participants is "NRTC Homeless Conf." The deadline to make reservations is October 5, 2005.
