SAMHSA ADMINISTRATOR TESTIFIES ON MENTAL HEALTH COMMISSION REPORT
SAMHSA Administrator Charles G. Curie will deliver testimony on the Presidents New Freedom Commission on Mental Health Report before the Senate Substance Abuse and Mental Health Subcommittee of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.
The final report, released earlier this year, recommended a wholesale transformation of the mental health system at all levels of government, and both the public and private sectors. The Commission was charged with conducting a comprehensive study of the United States mental health service delivery system and advising the President on methods of improving the system. The Commission was chaired by Michael F. Hogan, Ph.D., Director, Ohio Department of Mental Health.
