Building Regulatory And Operational Flexibility Into Accountable Care Organizations And ‘Shared Savings’

This article by Health Affairs explores Accountable Care Organizations (ACO) and the Shared Savings Program which will help fund ACOs through Medicare to provide recommendations on the regulations that are being developed for these programs. The article concludes that the regulations should be flexible to allow the organizations to grow over time, allowing for innovation and learning from new experiences.
