The Kaiser Family Foundation released two datasets examining the financing and structure of states’ public children’s health coverage. The first dataset outlines the composition of each state’s Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), including whether it is an expansion of the state’s Medicaid program, a separate entity, or a combination of the two. The dataset also outlines the upper income limit for children’s eligibility in both programs. The second dataset examines premiums and copayments for children’s coverage under both programs, noting whether and at what income level states require premiums and copayments for children.
