Colorado employers' healthcare benefits costs trending above national norms

A Lockton, Inc. survey of Colorado employers found that businesses’ health insurance premiums will rise an average of 14.4 percent in 2011.  The results show a larger increase than in 2010, when rates increased an average of 11.8 percent.

The Lockton Benefit Group in Denver today announced the results of its tenth annual Colorado employer survey regarding health benefit costs and coverage.  The findings indicate that Colorado employers are paying more for insurance than employers in other states.
