The Journal of Health Economics (JHE) published a study, finding that the Montana Meth Project was ineffective at reducing the use of methamphetamine. Started in Montana in 2005, the Montana Meth Project utilizes advertisements that tie the use of methamphetamine to prostitution, crime, death, and other undesirable activity.
