Does Public Insurance Provide Better Financial Protection Against the Rising Health Care Costs for Families of Children with Special Health Care Needs?

This study finds that the, for families of children with special healthcare needs, rising healthcare costs from 2001 to 2004 increased their economic burden.  In addition, private insurance coverage provided less financial protection for such families than public coverage.
