Mathematic Policy Research Inc. released three briefs as part of an ongoing series examining the role of cost-effective care under the national health care reform law.  The first brief outlines research on the benefits and cost-effectiveness of preventive health services, explaining which preventive services increase costs and why, and identifying opportunities to increase access to preventive health services under health care reform.  The second brief reviews current comparative effectiveness projects and their role in national health care reform and the third brief examines the effectiveness of disease management programs, including their effect on costs, and their role in health care reform.
