Equity in Private Insurance Coverage for Substance Abuse: A Perspective on Parity

This article discusses the merits of including substance abuse benefits in proposed behavioral health parity legislation in 2007.  Considering coverage trends and political factors, the article concludes that arguments for substance abuse parity are as strong as for mental health parity.
