The National Governor's Association (NGA) released a summary of a webinar examining the role of health information technology (HIT) in reforming health care. The summary examines two webinar presentations outlining the role of HIT in transforming health care service delivery and changing the health care system through state policies and HIT.
From the report: This webinar featured David Lansky, PhD, President and Chief Executive Officer, Pacific Business Group on Health who discussed the role of Health IT in transforming our health care delivery system. Kathleen Nolan, MPH, Director of the Health Division, NGA Center for Best Practices discussed using state policy levels and Health IT to transform our health care system. Participants also discussed key questions facing states as they move towards electronic health information exchange.
