This Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) report presents a Rural Policy Research Institute analysis of coverage for the uninsured under the Senate's Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (HR 3590).  The report finds that HR 3590 would reduce the number of rural uninsured from 8.1 million to 3.2 million by 2019, leading to a slightly higher coverage rate for people living in rural areas than for those living in urban areas (93.4% vs 92.7%).  The report also provides state-by-state estimates of the effects of the legislation on insurance rates and the uninsured.
