On July 7, the Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF) released an updated version of its health reform subsidy calculator. The tool considers an individual’s age, income, family, and regional health care costs to determine his or her likely health insurance premiums in the health insurance exchanges set to begin in 2014 under the national health care reform law. KFF’s calculator also projects an individual’s eligibility for government premium subsidies based on those criteria.
