The National Association of State Medicaid Directors has published its letter to Senator Harry Reid and Speaker of the House Representative Nancy Pelosi requesting to expand FMAP assistance to states granted by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act past December 31, 2010. State Medicaid programs require more assistance to combat severe budget cuts, rising deficits and the expansion of Medicaid eligibility under health reform.
