Citing the absence of an objective assessment of physicians’ attitudes, an Archives of Internal Medicine (AIM) survey examined physician opinions on Medicare payment reform. The survey found that 78 percent of physicians believe some procedures are reimbursed at too high a rate while others are reimbursed at a rate too low to cover costs.
