From SAMHSA's Weekly Financing News Pulse: National Edition - February 4, 2011:
On January 18, the White House Office of National Drug Control
Policy (ONDCP) announced that it is offering up to $9.35 million in FY2011
Drug Free Communities grants. In
partnership with the Substance Abuse and
Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), ONDCP will offer up to 75
new grants, under which community coalitions may receive up to $625,000 over
five years. The grants will fund
community coalitions’ efforts to prevent and reduce youth substance abuse. Grant applications are due by March 18. Program funding details will be finalized once
Congress approves a 2011 appropriations bill.
