This article published in Health Services Research analyzes the health care reform efforts in New York and Massachussetts, focusing particularly on expansion of coverage for adults. The article concludes that the Massachussetts reform was more successful resulting in a decrease of 3% in the uninsurance rate and greater access to care, while New York reforms did not result in a substantial change to access.
