Trends in Behavioral Health Care Service Provision by Community Health Centers, 1998–2007

Psychiatric Services published a study examining behavioral health services provided by community health centers from 2002 to 2007, when the federal government increased its support of such facilities in medically underserved areas.  The authors found that this policy led to an expansion of the behavioral health care safety net based in community health centers.
