Trends in Retiree Health Insurance, 1997–2003

This article observes steady declines in retiree health benefits from the 1990s to 2003.  Moreover, the article reveals that while 32 percent of private-sector workers were employed by organizations offering retiree healthcare benefits in 1997 that number fell to 25 percent in 2003.
