From SAMHSA's Weekly Financing News Pulse: National Edition - April 29, 2011:
Through
May 16, the Appalachian Regional
Commission (ARC) is accepting letters of interest for funding under its
2011 Competition for Community-Based Substance Abuse Initiatives. Under the program, ARC will provide a total
of $150,000 to 30 coalitions in the 196 counties that ARC has deemed
economically “distressed” or “at-risk.”
The grants will fund training and technical assistance for
evidence-based prevention, intervention, and treatment programming. ARC officials will announce grant recipients
on May 27.
