FIRST TIME USERS!

The first time you use Citrix on any computer, client software must be installed. Instructions for installing the software (a browser plugin) are available below.

Important: Please Read Before Proceeding

After following the installation instructions most employees can use the Citrix remote access solution using their existing ITSC domain username and password to authenticate. This is the same account used to log into your computer at work. There is no additional account needed.

If you intend to use Citrix it is best to completely log off of your work computer (rather than just locking it).

After the client installation, if you are unable to authenticate at the Citrix/Novell login screen you should contact the ITSC help desk to confirm that your account settings are correct and your account is not locked.

What to expect from Citrix:

Citrix is a remote access solution supported by ITSC for SAMHSA staff to allow access to domain and network resources when offsite. Citrix provides a "virtual desktop environment" where you have access to content restricted to the outside world.

These resources include:

  • SAMHSA Intranet, SAMHSA & HHS web applications, and SharePoint sites
  • Your network drives (e.g. F, M) and applications including the MS Office 2003 Suite.
  • In addition, you can have access to a fully functional instance of Outlook 2003. Note: Outlook 2003 must be initially configured and is not setup by default.
