The focus of the SMHDI Project for FY200S is on the development of appropriate data collection methods and systems that will enable the Ministry of Health to better examine and evaluate State Selected Performance Measures as well as develop and implement a three-year Work Plan. Specific objectives for the SMHDI Project include: 1) To institute and implement Data Policy guidelines; 2) To design, develop and implement new forms, report formats and information system; 3) To build and improve the professional capacity of health service staff both urban centers and the outer islands in the collection, use, and dissemination of relevant health data for Mental Health.
