Lauren Grimes shares a provocative look at the value of honoring the knowledge and insights of young mental health consumers.Exit Disclaimer She is the Transitional Age Youth Outreach Coordinator for On Our Own of Maryland. Since adolescence Lauren has overcome numerous behavioral health challenges.  She has extensive personal experience with the mental health system, which she freely draws from in her work in the peer world. In 2013, SAMHSA honored Lauren with the Young Adult Leadership Award at the Voice Awards in Los Angeles, CA.
