The 2016 National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day national event is Thursday, May 5, at 7 p.m. EDT.
Last year, the national event took place on May 7, 2015, at the Lansburgh Theatre in Washington, DC. The event highlighted strategies for integrating behavioral health with primary health care, child welfare, and education. May Is National Foster Care Month
Since 1988, May has been a month to acknowledge those who help children and youth in foster care find permanent homes and connections. This includes foster parents, family members, volunteers, mentors, policymakers, child welfare professionals, and other members of the community. Learn more about National Foster Care Month.
