This article reports on the prevalence of probable mental health disorders among clients entering outpatient substance abuse treatment. It also includes data about clinical characteristics and past access to substance abuse and mental health care. The results indicate high rates of coâ€occurring mental health disorders. Identifying mental health disorders as people enter treatment is important. It has the potential to increase access to care.
