Substate estimates for 22 measures of substance use and mental disorders based on the combined 2006, 2007, and 2008 National Surveys on Drug Use and Health (NSDUHs) are provided. NSDUH is an ongoing survey of the civilian, noninstutionalized population of the United States aged 12 years or older. All estimates presented here are based on a small area estimation (SAE) methodology in which substate-level NSDUH data are combined with county and census block group/tract-level data from the State. Please note that these estimates are a revision to previously released estimates. For more information, see Section A.4 in http://www.samhsa.gov/data/NSDUH/substate2k08/Methodology/NSDUHsubstateMethodology2008.htm
