Drug Related Mortality by State

State level drug-related deaths:  At present, only six states (Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Utah, and Vermont) submitted drug related mortality data to SAMHSA's DAWN system. 

• Drug Abuse Warning Network, 2003: Area Profiles of Drug-Related Mortality DAWN Series D-27, DHHS Publication No. (SMA) 05-4023, Rockville, MD, March 2005  (PDF format)  Keep scrolling until you get to your State of interest. This report includes data from the participating States on drug misuse and drug-related suicide deaths, place of death, and drug-related deaths by drug category and by gender & age group . In addition, data are available in this report for 35 metropolitan areas.
