GAINS Center for Behavioral Health and Justice Transformation
The GAINS Center aims to create a learning community that offers ways for professionals involved in the criminal justice system as well as those involved in GAINS Center projects to network, support, learn, and grow with meaningful peer involvement in Center initiatives.
The GAINS Center makes a variety of resources available for free. These resources, which include fact sheets, policy briefs, program briefs, and training and workshop summaries, are designed to share the latest research, findings, and expertise of the GAINS Center.
The GAINS Center has developed comprehensive databases on existing mental health courts in the United States. Find the location of each mental health court, the year it was established, its target participants, and necessary contact information.
To raise awareness about the effects of trauma among criminal justice professionals, the GAINS Center developed a training curriculum designed to increase understanding of the impact of trauma and generate strategies to develop and implement trauma-informed policies.
