Short Title: SPF-PFS The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) will implement the PFS Project to decrease prescription drug abuse among youth aged 12-25 through prevention strategies to reduce social access to pharmaceutical drugs and increase public understanding of the risks associated with their use. In addition, the project will increase state and local infrastructure to identify substance use disorder prevention priorities and implement effective strategies in high-need communities.

Short Title: SPF-PFS Florida's Partnerships for Success Project is designed to reduce prescription drug misuse among Floridians ages 12-25 and the nonmedical use of opioids among Floridians ages 26 and older. This project will also reduce the number of accidental and intentional deaths caused by opioids and strengthen prevention capacity and infrastructure at the state and community levels. The subrecipient communities are five urban counties (Broward, Duval, Hillsborough, Manatee, and Palm Beach) and three rural counties (Franklin, Walton, and Washington).
