Numerous award-winning actors, writers, and producers will join the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) at the 2008 Voice Awards on Wednesday, May 28, to honor individuals who have shown leadership in their communities to promote understanding and support for individuals with mental illnesses.

The Voice Awards—hosted by actor and mental health advocate Joe Pantoliano—also recognize TV and film writers and producers who have incorporated dignified, respectful, and accurate depictions of people living with mental health problems into their programs and films.

To attend event, contact Crystal Borde at 202–331–4323.
