Dramatic New Findings Concerning Increases in Substance Abuse Treatment Admissions Involving Non-Medical Use of Prescription Narcotic Pain Relievers to be Revealed at SAMHSA and ONDCP Conference

The Department of Health and Human Services’ Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) will unveil the results of a new national survey which reveals a dramatic rise in the proportion of all substance abuse treatment admissions of those aged 12 and older involving abuse of prescription pain relievers.
