National Recovery Month
Recovery Month, now in its 25th year, is a national observance that educates Americans on the fact that addiction treatment and mental health services can enable those with a mental and/or substance use disorder to live a healthy and rewarding life.
SAMHSA created the Recovery Month toolkit to increase awareness of the power of recovery. The kit provides individuals and organizations with the resources they need to help people with mental and/or substance use disorders. The toolkit contains four sections:
Recovery Month produces a host of multimedia products to highlight SAMHSA's mission.
These products include television and radio public service announcements (PSAs), the Road to Recovery television and radio series and Ask the Expert program, and a community event PSA, among others.
