2006 Awards Event

The 2006 Voice Awards event took place on Wednesday, August 23, at the Skirball Cultural Center’s Ahmanson Ballroom in Los Angeles, CA. Honorees received their awards during a gala ceremony that brought together entertainment professionals, as well as key figures from the mental health community.

Erick Broderick, then-Acting Administrator of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), presents Ruta Lee with a 2006 SAMHSA Special Recognition Award.	Barbara Lurie of the Mental Health Media Partnership presents producer David Hoberman with the 2006 Career Achievement Award.

Dr. Gary Bailey of the National Association of Social Workers presents “Law & Order: SVU” writer/producer Jonathan Greene with a 2006 Voice Award.	Guest speaker Cindy Asner presents Sandra McQueen-Baker with a 2006 Consumer Leadership Award.
