Webinar Date :
Monday, August 18, 2014
Description:

This webinar discusses the prevalence of health disparities among boys and young men of color and how programs can strengthen their protective factors.

Boys and young men of color, a priority population identified in the federal My Brother’s Keeper initiative, face numerous barriers to success, including high rates of substance misuse and other related behavioral health problems. Understanding the prevalence and consequences of these problems is the first step in understanding and addressing them—yet locating and appropriately analyzing the data needed to do so can be difficult.

The webinar Improving the Behavioral Health of Boys and Young Men of Color: Addressing Data Challenges is designed to help prevention practitioners locate, understand, and use data to improve opportunities, address health disparities, and strengthen protective factors for this population.
