Introduction to Substance Abuse Prevention: Understanding the Basics

This 5-hour self-paced course for entry-level prevention practitioners addresses these content areas: basic terminology and facts, history of substance use and prevention in the U.S., addiction and the brain, and the effects and health risks of substance use.

This course has been endorsed by the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC). On passing the assessment at the end of this course, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion for five hours of participation.
