A digital art exhibition features work from young artists who were inspired by the words “I am a work of art.
Every individual’s life is a work of art.
In observance of Awareness Day 2017, the American Art Therapy Association collaborated with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Head Start and Youth M.O.V.E. National to send out a call for art from children, youth, and young adults. They invited young artists to show how they interpreted the words “I am a work of art.” All submissions were created with the recognition that art can provide a powerful strategy for working through behavioral health challenges. The result of hundreds of submissions, this digital exhibition celebrates the important role of art and creativity in mental health, wellness, and social-emotional well-being for our children, youth, and young adults.
