Analyze N-SUMHSS Data Online
SAMHSA provides online tools to help visualize data and analyze multiple N-SUMHSS datasets at the same time. To view data from the N-SSATS and N-MHSS surveys, select a year before 2021 and choose the desired collection.
Data Analysis System
The Data Analysis System (DAS) allows you to explore and analyze substance use and mental health data from this collection to understand critical public health issues. Use DAS to look at study variables and run crosstab analyses. Download results as a PNG image or a data file in CVS format.
Quick Statistics
The Quick Statistics tool allows you to compare statistics, track trends, and explore related issues across facility types and states. It uses N-SUMHSS data from public and private facilities that provide substance use disorder and mental health treatment at the national and state level. The data includes the location, characteristics, services offered, and number of clients.
