This is an annual report explaining the Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) survey for 2011. This report represents a census of all SAMHSA-certified OTPs in the United States, both public and private, and presents both highlights and tabular information from the 2011 Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) Survey. The OTP survey was fielded in conjunction with SAMHSA’s National Survey of Substance Abuse Treatment Services (N-SSATS). N-SSATS is an annual census of all known facilities providing substance abuse treatment. It is designed to collect data on the location, characteristics, and use of alcohol and drug abuse treatment facilities and services throughout the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and other U.S. jurisdictions.
