This report uses 2011 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) to assess past year substance use disorder (SUD) and mental illness statuses among adults aged 18 or older. Results are shown for people with SUD but no mental illness, co-occurring SUD and mental illness, and mental illness but no SUD.
