Emergency Department Visits Involving Methamphetamine: 2007 to 2011

Description:

This short report uses data on drug-related emergency department (ED) visits from the Drug Abuse Warning Network to examine the trends in ED visits involving methamphetamine from 2007 to 2011. In addition to the trends for total methamphetamine-related visits, it also shows trends by gender and by age group; the age distribution of patients; the drugs most commonly combined with methamphetamine; and the outcome of the ED visits.
