This report presents findings from the 2015 National Mental Health Services Survey (N-MHSS) conducted from April 2015 through January 2016. The N-MHSS collects information from all known facilities in the United States, both public and private, that provide mental health treatment services to people with mental illness. The Center for Behavioral Health Statistics and Quality (CBHSQ) of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, plans and directs the N-MHSS.
