NSDUH 2021 Sample Experience Report
This report is a continuation of the 2021 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) Sample Design Report. It further documents the 2021 NSDUH sample experiences, by comparing expected outcomes with what actually occurred, and documenting unexpected issues that came up during the year. The report also summarizes the information about the sample design that is more thoroughly detailed in the previous report.
Chapter 1 introduces the report and summarizes the impact of the coronavirus 2019 pandemic on the sample design and data collection. Chapter 2 revisits the 2021 sample design. Chapters 3, 4, and 5 document the sample experiences at the third, fourth, and fifth stages of sample selection, respectively. Finally, Chapter 6 compares the observed and expected precisions, and also examines trends in average design effects over time.
