Treatment Episode Data Set (TEDS): 2015, National Discharge from Substance Abuse Treatment Services

This report presents data from the Treatment Episode Data Set (TEDS) for discharges from treatment in 2015. It is a companion to the reports Treatment Episode Data Set (TEDS): 2005-2015 National Admissions to Substance Abuse Treatment and Treatment Episode Data Set (TEDS): 2005-2015 State Admissions to Substance Abuse Treatment. These reports provide information on the demographic and substance abuse characteristics of substance abuse treatment admissions and discharges aged 12 and older in facilities that report to individual state administrative data systems. In addition, characteristics used to analyze changes from admission to discharge among the linked admission and discharge records are included. Primary substance of abuse, frequency of use, and employment status at admission are repeated in several tables. This is done so that characteristics at admission and discharge can be appropriately compared with each other and to ensure the inclusion of important data that might otherwise be overlooked.
