Serious Emotional Disturbance

Many children struggle with serious emotional disturbances (SEDs) that interfere with their daily lives. Despite having diagnosable disorders, many do not receive adequate care. Addressing this public health crisis requires a concerted, multi-dimensional approach. Our researchers study the nature and causes of these disturbances. We also examine what mental health services are available to children experiencing SEDs.
