CSAT BP programs bridge the gap between knowledge and practice by disseminating information to substance abuse treatment practitioners through technical assistance, training, products, and meetings.
The goal of BP programs is to foster the adoption of "best practices" by the field. Knowledge application programs are generally assessed on such measures as:
- The number of organizations or individuals reached
- The number of individuals trained and deployed
- Changes in practice that result from activities conducted under the programs
BP programs adopt new techniques as they are tested and proven effective.
